It was a pleasure to host our friends from surrounding primary schools Ash, All Saints in Montacute, Chilthorne Domer, East Coker and Preston this morning for our annual Year 6 Mock Trial competition. Although Perrott Hill’s prosecution team did not manage to secure the conviction of Lee Smedley, a suspected fly tipper, they won the competition by virtue of a very strong team performance: not only was the group awarded top marks, but Harry won the individual court artist award, too. Many thanks to Mr Silk, Victoria Pearson and the adjudicating magistrates, Lindsay Wilson, Susanna Hanson and Mary Ellis, who paid tribute to the performance of all the teams; and the biggest well done to our wonderful Year 6s, whose hard work in the run up well and truly paid off.
