Year 3 are studying ancient Egyptians in history this term and visited The Tutankhamun Exhibition in Dorchester last week for some hands-on learning. As well as looking at the life of Tutankhamun and seeing many replica artefacts belonging to him, the children learned about archaeologist Howard Carter, Lord Carnarvon and Lady Evelyn, and the discovery of the intact tomb in 1922. Thanks to Ms Bresland, Mr Percival and Miss Gibson, along with all the staff at the exhibition, for a fascinating day of history.
