Sport Ethos

Our aim is to instil a love for sport in all children, and we have clear criteria for success: high levels of participation, increased fitness of individuals and a chance for all pupils to progress and become the best they can be.

Balancing outstanding talent and inclusion is of paramount importance to us, and we are proud that all pupils are given the opportunity to represent the school – whatever their talents: the A teams promote excellence through competing successfully against top quality opposition, while the B and C teams enjoy healthy competition whilst focussing upon inclusion and sportsmanship. It is our philosophy that the child’s individual progress is more important than the team winning. Through sport we encourage our pupils to learn about team values, competitiveness, fair play and how to win gracefully or lose with dignity.

In recent years, Perrott Hill has upped its game on the sporting front, and has stepped onto the national stage in numerous sports. Results have been especially pleasing; the investment in new coaches and facilities is paying off. We offer excellent sporting venues including playing fields, an all-weather pitch, netball courts, tennis courts, a sports hall and outdoor pool.
