And we’re off! The Perrott Hill Space Agency weather balloon launched last week, to a crowd of very excited children – and adults! After reaching an altitude of over 22,000m and a maximum speed of 85.2km/hr, the balloon was tracked and retrieved from a field near Barnstaple (in full sight, in a field with a gate – phew!)Well done to Mr Andrews (x2) and our PHSA pupils for a successful mission, and thanks to Mr Coverdale and Mr Ringelberg for tracking and retrieving it. And thanks again to our helpers and sponsors: King’s Bruton, the Yeovil Chiropractic Clinic, Freya Systems and Pemco Pitstop. Head to our facebook page (@PerrottHillSchool) to see the video footage.
