Furleigh Estate situated in the beautiful Dorset countryside and consists of 85 acres of vineyard, lakes and grazing land surrounded by woodland. Over 22,000 vines grow on the south facing slopes of the Estate. 15,000 of these are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meurnier used to produce our classic quality sparkling wines.  Bacchus and Rondo are also grown to produce fine still wines. Furleigh Estate is open for sales on Fridays and Saturdays from 11am till 4pm.  There is a tour of the vineyard and winery followed by a tasting on each of these days starting at 2pm. Booking advisable. The building of the Otter Brewery was, and still is, a labour of love. We believe that’s why our beer tastes so great and why more and more people are drinking Otter Beer.All Otter beers have their individual flavours and aromas. We are lucky enough to be able to draw our own spring water and ferment with a unique yeast. These two ingredients, in particular, define many of the individual flavour tones of Otter beers. To this we add carefully selected ingredients and tweak different parts of the brewing process to create our individual brands. This makes a range of beers to cover all the needs of the 21st century drinker a tall order! To date our cellar holds 5 regular brews that are produced all year round and a seasonal beer for the darker months where a little body warming is required. We believe that beer should be a balance of flavour and aroma. Outstanding characteristics are quirky but they don’t lend themselves to regular drinking beers. All the Otter Beers have won public acclaim at some stage, however we think that success should really be measured by everyday drinker feedback rather than awards on the wall.
