Our boarders tried their hand at sushi making at Kinori in Chard this week, courtesy of Japanese chef extraordinaire, Hideki Koike. Hideki, who started cooking 25 years ago and has previously held positions such as Head Chef at the Lord Poulett Arms in Hinton St George, taught the children the important art of getting just the right amount of sticky rice to hold the filling together, before they made their sushi and enjoyed a meal together. Thank you for your patience and sense of humour, Hideki – we all loved it and hope to come back soon!
