Day-to-day responsibility for the governance of the school lies with the Board of Governors whilst the Chair of the Board of Directors holds ultimate responsibility. All Governors can be contacted via the Clerk to the Governors, Mr William Robertson, at the school address. Please clearly mark all correspondence ‘Governors’ Business’.
Kemal Pehlivan – Proprietor and Chair of Governors
Currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Education Management and an NPQH certification, Kemal is deeply committed to enhancing academic standards and nurturing holistic student growth. His extensive international exposure across diverse cultural contexts enriches his leadership, fostering a global outlook essential for educational progress. As Proprietor and Chair of Governors, Kemal staunchly upholds standards of excellence, champions inclusivity, and fosters an environment where both students and educators thrive.
Jeremy Blackburn
Jeremy attended Perrott Hill between 1969-1975 before going on to Sherborne School. His children, Harry and Emma, also attended Perrott Hill in the late 1990s before the family moved to Hampshire. He grew up in the West Country and recently set up home outside Crewkerne with his wife, Lucy. He has a passion for sport having played rugby, hockey and cricket to county level at a younger age. He now sticks to playing golf at Cricket St Thomas and also runs the Wessex Racing Club, with National Hunt horses trained locally (one with Jack Barber – also an OPH!).
Role as Governor: Chair of the Marketing and Admissions Committee, Health and Safety Lead.
Jennifer Boulter
Jenny left London in 2012 to move to the South West and in 2016 left KPMG to set up a landscaping business which does a mixture of commercial grounds maintenance and domestic projects. Jenny lives in Somerset with her husband and two sons.
Role as Governor: Chair of the Finance and General Purposes Committee, Member of the Parent Liaison Group (current parent).
Catherine Bugler
Catherine studied Food and Consumer Management at Birmingham College, which led her into a position at the regional food group Taste of the West, promoting and supporting food and drink producers from across the South West. Following this, she worked for River Cottage. Starting as a researcher for the film company, this developed into a role at the cookery school, as Events Manager, coordinating the food festivals, weddings and corporate events at the River Cottage farm.
Role as Governor: Safeguarding Lead
Dr Dominic Luckett
He then taught for eleven years at Harrow School, where he was Head of History and an assistant housemaster, before moving to Worth School as Deputy Head. In 2007, he was appointed Headmaster of Mill Hill and Chief Executive of the Mill Hill School Foundation comprising the senior, prep, pre-prep and international schools. He has published various articles on early Tudor history, is an inspector with the Independent Schools’ Inspectorate and a member of the Council of the University of Leicester, the university’s governing body.
Role as Governor: Member of the Education and Pastoral Committee.
Richard Redwood
He is an Assistant Headteacher at Canford School with responsibility for Safeguarding, EDI and Personal Development. He teaches English at GCSE and A level and works for both OCR and Pearson. In his spare time he enjoys writing poetry and articles for English publications.
Role as Governor: Member of the Education and Pastoral Committee.
Andrew Vickery
Andrew lives on the family farm with his wife Anna, a school Bursar, and their two young children who both attend Perrott Hill.
