“Time and space for a full education”

Each year Perrott Hill supports an international, a national and a local charity. Our Year 7 pupils select the charities during their PSHE lessons and this year our chosen charities are the British Heart Foundation (Summer Term), Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International (Autumn Term) and Bristol Children's Hospital 'Wallace and Gromit Appeal' (Spring Term). In previous years we have supported a very wide collection of charities including: Help for Heroes, the RNLI, the Haiti Earthquake Appeal, the Variety Club, Born Free Foundation and Against Malaria.

The children organise a range of fundraising activities, usually during a designated ‘charity week’, which have included a helicopter pull at RNAS Yeovilton, a sponsored bicycle ride, selling home-made comics, throwing custard pies at teachers, cake stalls and a tombola. In preparation we hold a charity assembly and invite a representative to give an inspirational talk to the children.
